Ron’s Review

The Reviews are inspired by The Silent Syndrome. Military Sexual Trauma has emerged in our culture with a devastating impact on the victims and their families. Veterans who are experiencing the trauma associated with sexual assault frequently go without much needed services. Many are ashamed to disclose the abuse and, in many cases, ended their lives.

Currently the Department of Defense and the and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta believe the estimated 19,000 cases of sexual assaults is “grossly underreported. 1 in 5 women and 1 in 500 men are reported to have experience some form of MST.” 

Awareness is education and understanding. The Review is a vehicle with the purpose of enlightening families and their communities to be mindful of Veteran’s who may be suffering silently. It is an outreach for the purpose of healing the victims we cannot see and cannot hear.
